About the Role

Veritas Education is working in partnership with a supportive and high-achieving secondary school in the Bradford area to recruit a passionate and dedicated English Teacher for a full-time, long-term position starting in September 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a strong English department and inspire students through the delivery of a broad and engaging curriculum, aligned with Department for Education standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 advantageous)
  • Teach both Language and Literature, fostering a love for reading and writing
  • Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners
  • Monitor, assess, and report on student progress
  • Maintain strong classroom management and promote positive behaviour
  • Contribute to departmental planning and whole-school initiatives
The Ideal Candidate
  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature
  • Experience teaching in a secondary school setting (ECTs welcome)
  • Demonstrates strong communication and classroom management skills
  • Is committed to safeguarding and improving outcomes for all students
